Common Complaints and Clarifications
Several candidates have raised concerns on social media and through representations to TRB:
- Discrepancy in normalisation: TRB clarified that normalisation was applied strictly as per the 2022 TRB Norms document.
- Delay in some PG subject results: TRB stated that answer-key challenges for Commerce, Economics and History are still under review; results will be published only after disposal.
- High cut-offs: Officials attribute the rise to increased competition (11.8 lakh candidates for ~15,000 posts) and fewer vacancies compared with previous cycles.

- Certificate Verification (all categories): 3–18 February 2026

Conclusion: Awaiting Final Selection
The TRB recruitment 2025–26 has been one of the largest and most competitive teacher hiring drives in Tamil Nadu’s history. With results for the majority of posts already published and certificate verification underway, the process is now entering its final leg. Successful candidates will soon join government and aided schools across the state, helping address the long-standing teacher-vacancy crisis.
For those who did not make the cut-off, TRB has indicated that additional vacancy notifications (backlog + new posts) may be issued in late 2026. Until then, aspirants are advised to keep preparing and monitor the official website regularly.
The journey to become a government teacher in Tamil Nadu remains challenging, but for the thousands who clear this hurdle in 2026, it will be a moment of immense pride and service to the next generation.
